For musicians
If you’re a musician, it’s possible that words are not your strong point. English might not even be your first language. But these days, you probably have your own web page, and you might also be writing programme notes, your biography, CD blurbs or grant applications.
If you want to be completely sure that your text is right, then I can help you polish it. I initially trained as a musician, and have taught musicians for many years (most recently at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London), so I know the kinds of issues that you face.
If you get confused where to put the apostrophe when talking about pieces by Brahms (Brahm’s Violin Sonata? Brahms’ Violin Sonata? Brahms’s Violin Sonata?), aren’t sure whether it’s Weber or Webern, and are baffled by where to put the umlauts in the titles of Wagner's operas (Gotterdämmerüng? Götterdammerung? Götterdämmerung?), then I can solve these problems for you!
I am very used to working with non-native speakers of English, so will be happy to work with you if that’s you.
